Advertisement and Google AdSense

Putting advertisement on a website is a very common way to make money online. You can of course look for ad campaigns yourself, but understanding the world of advertisement requires skills and contacts that you may not have. Thankfully, Google thought about that and created the program AdSense. You create an account, register your blog or website and once it has been accepted you can start using AdSense : short advertisement links put on your pages and related to the topics you're dealing with. When people follow these links, you make money. Careful though, don't even think about cheating : Google will see it and kick you out of the program forever!

Affiliate Programs

The Internet is the biggest mall of the world, but to sell well, eshops need publicity. How does it work? You talk about an eshop on your website/blog with a link towards it and if people buy things there after clicking on your link, you will receive a percentage on the sale. Affiliation works in many different ways. You can simply add a link to an article, or banners in a side bar, or even create an eshop section on your site with items being sold by somebody else (this is possible with Amazon for example). Most of eshops don't directly take care of this but work with an affiliate platform. Cash Back

There are websites already set up which offer cash back to shop through them. Businesses pay such websites if customers who click through from them then make a purchase. The company then gives the customer a percentage of cash back for their purchase. Quidco and Topcashback are two such sites.

Web Domains

Those who know their way around the internet can search out popular domain names, buy them, and resell them to relevant companies. Sometimes businesses allow their domain names to lapse without immediately renewing them; if you are quick enough you could pick them up and resell them to that company. It is even possible to create your own 'country' and set up your own extension (e.g. .com or .co.uk) from which you can then create domain names to sell on.

One further usage of the internet, which constitutes a huge percentage of internet traffic, is online gambling. There are numerous casinos, poker games and bingo sites present on the World Wide Web where people have varying levels of success in making some extra money. Some games require skill and expertise, whereas others involve pure luck. Additionally there are many other games and competitions where money is the prize.

Do you make clothes, jewellery or any other things? Then the Internet is perfect to start making money with your hobby. You can create your own eshop - even through the form of a simple blog if you don't want to put too much effort into it - or sell it on other websites. To make money, your website/blog will need to have as many visitors as possible and new quality content almost every day. Beware of scams though : many people on the web are not being honest and will say that you can make thousands by just clicking on a few links or receiving advertisement mails. Not true. The Internet may offer a lot of opportunities but in the end, it is the same as in the \\"real\\" world : you won't get anything without working a bit.
